                        DIY: Felt Flower Applique
Using a Blanket Stitch to Add Felt Flowers to Boring Clothes
A few weeks ago I learned a couple basic embroidery stitches and am LOVING all the things I can do with them!  If you've seen our pillow covers, then you've seen the 'blanket stitch' in action. I've been adding felt flowers to my daughter's baby clothes and they are so cute; I thought I'd share the technique and a couple pictures so you can try it too.  First, you need a piece of simple clothing, a bit of felt, some embroidery thread, and a needle...  Read more on our DIY page.

                        Sleepy Owl Notebooks
We recently added these Sleepy Owl notebooks to our site.  I love designing and drawing these new journals.  They are drawn with pen & ink, then coloured in with watercolour pencil crayon (I like mixing various shades of green and blue).  After I've finished with the pencils, I take a damp paintbrush and blend the colours together to achieve that watercolour look.  I hope you enjoy the results as much as I do!

Use the coupon code at the bottom of the page to receive a free Sleepy Owl greeting card with the purchase of an Original Hand-drawn Notebook (medium or large sizes only).
