                        Step One

Print and cut out flower template.  Pin to the felt of your choice and cut it out.

                        Step Two

Pin the cut-out felt flower to the part of the clothing you want to embellish.  Thread your needle with your chosen colour of embroidery thread.
Working from left to right, bring the needle up through the clothing and the felt and pull it through until you have a little loop.

                        Step Three

Bring the needle up through the loop and pull it tight.

                        Step Four

Bring the needle up and through the clohting and the felt again and repeat the process!  Make sure the bottom of the stitches come right up against the appliqué.

                        Step Five

Take a button and sew it into the centre of your flower using the same embroidery thread as before.  And that is it!  Check out the Before and After photos below to see how this simple process really livens up a piece of clothing!
