                        Handmade Envelopes

                        What You Need:

                        • A big sheet of paper (preferably something colorful and interesting like an old calendar page or a page from a beat-up children's book)
                        • A pre-made envelope for a template
                        • Pencil
                        • Scissors
                        • Glue
                        • Homemade envelope mucilage (make your own, using this recipe) & paintbrush or q-tip
                        Picture

                        Step One

Open up the pre-made envelope and lay it on your big sheet of paper as a template.  Trace and cut out.

                        Step Two

Fold the sides together and glue the bottom parts together.  Let it sit until it is dry.

                        Step Three

Apply the homemade mucilage to the top edge of the envelope and allow it to dry.

When you want to use your gorgeous handmade envelopes, just lick the edge as you would on a regular envelope.  Try experimenting with different papers and patterns for unique and exciting envelopes.
